I am James

This is me, James Polits. I’m passionate about living life, my beautiful wife, and my daughter. Learning and honing my creative skills {photography, video production, graphic design, web development} is what I do. I am creative strategist. Whether it’s with a design, a database, or IT system, I find creative solutions.

Portland, Oregon is where I call home. I work as the Creative Director at Portland Christian Center.

The Blog

This blog is really about me sharing about creativity, christianity, life, and things I find neat. There are two big topics you’ll find at jamespolits.com: Creative & Being Dad.

The creative topic includes photography, graphic design, and video production. Most of the time, you’ll be reading about things I’m learning and I think might be worth sharing with the world.

Being Dad is all about fatherhood and parenting. I know… it doesn’t really go with the whole creative thing well. True, but I am super passionate about fatherhood. It’s a topic that I think Western culture needs to re-engage. Father’s are incredibly important to families and to their children and I want to talk about it. I want to talk about what fatherhood is like and what a good father should be like. Am I an expert? No. Do I have something to offer? Absolutely. And I hope this is a place where you can discuss fatherhood, too.
